Director of Research
Seek experienced Director of Research for our Market Research Department located in our downtown Washington, DC office. Successful candidate must have a minimum of ten years of business experience. Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills required. This position requires top-level planning and a passion for real estate market research within the Washington DC metro area. Ability to work with external vendors, consultants and agencies is a must. Must be a self-starter who can interact with employees at all levels of the organization. This role requires strong interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to think creatively and strategically. Duties include: draft and update all market overviews for inclusions in company pitches, RFPs, SFO and presentations; hiring/training/supervising and mentoring departmental staff; oversee all aspects of production and quality control for the work product; develop department systems; and responsible for the accuracy of all departmental publications as well as develop new publications as needed for new and existing clients. Senior Lease Administrator/Portfolio Accountant
Seek experienced Senior Lease Administrator/Portfolio Accountant for our Property Management Department located in our downtown Washington, DC office. Successful candidate must have a minimum of three years experience in real estate and B.S. in Accounting. Excellent analytical & communication skills. MS Word, Excel and MRI required. Responsible for GAAP financial reporting for a portfolio of third party owned properties for institutional and corporate clients. G/L Accounting/Reporting Functions specific to a single entity: Prepare month end GAAP basis journal entries to ensure accuracy of the financial statements; prepare bank recs; prepare monthly reporting package to client; resolve client accounting/reporting issues; assist Property Manager with quarterly operating expense reconciliation and reforecast. Accounts Receivable Functions/Lease Administration function for portfolio: Review and input tenant leases into MRI; input daily cash receipts; review rent roll for billing of monthly charges for a combined portfolio of 5 million square feet. Accounts Payable Functions specific to a single entity: Review A/P input; prepare reclass journal entries to correct coding errors; facilitate payment of real estate tax invoices.
